We are delighted to announce that Michaela Zankl FIEP, Regional Manager at Folkuniversitetet, has joined the IEP Sweden Board and was recently elected as its Chair in December. Michaela brings not only her extensive experience in the employability sector but also a deep commitment to driving innovation and collaboration within the field.
Reflecting on her appointment, Michaela says, “The position gives me great opportunities to build a strong IEP in Sweden. I am most eager to contribute to growth by attracting new members and working on advocacy efforts directed at decision-makers. Additionally, I want to continue refining our offering to our members in our partner organisations, ensuring they are empowered in their roles. Ultimately, this means that the individuals they work with will have strengthened opportunities to actively participate in society.”
As a member of the IEP for nearly two years as well as an IEP Fellow, Michaela has a deep understanding of the IEP’s mission and values. “IEP is built on extensive experience and brings together a wealth of valuable knowledge,” she says. “This has been transformed into concrete activities and learning resources. Those of us working in the field can and must improve what we do. I feel that what IEP offers addresses a real need. This means that we know why and how!”
Michaela’s leadership is set to elevate IEP Sweden’s offerings, particularly in areas such as high-quality training and networking opportunities. “Members gain access to high-quality training, can participate in networking events that provide practical tools for daily work, and also have the opportunity to contribute and share their expertise,” she says. “It’s a real boost for both individuals and organisations to share what they do well with others.”
Michaela’s approach emphasises fostering collaboration, even among competitors. “It allows us as competitors to come together around learning and development,” she notes, highlighting the spirit of shared growth that underpins IEP’s mission.
As Chair of the IEP Sweden Board, Michaela Zankl FIEP is poised to lead the IEP into an exciting new chapter of growth and impact in Sweden. Her dedication to advocacy, collaboration, and the professional development of members is sure to strengthen IEP’s role in transforming the employment service sector in Sweden.
Please join us in welcoming Michaela to this pivotal role. We look forward to continuing to build an even stronger IEP community in Sweden and beyond.
