In our Learner Talk series, we interview graduates of our IEP Learning programs from across the globe about their learning experience, how it feeds into their work as Employability Professionals – and more.

This week we are excited to share the story of Ingela Kindblad AIEP, Job Coach and Project Leader National Vocational Education and Training at Folkuniversetet, who has completed the Rusta & Matcha module and will soon be completing Employability Essentials.

What motivated you to enrol in IEP Learning?

I enrolled in IEP Learning to enhance my skills and better align my capabilities with the demands of my career. I wanted to build a solid foundation for professional growth, as well as acquire valuable tools and knowledge to help me stay competitive in my field.

Can you share some of those examples of how the skills you’ve gained from the course have been valuable in your work?

The skills gained from the program have been invaluable in streamlining my workflow and boosting my efficiency. For instance, the communication and problem-solving techniques I learned have helped me navigate challenging projects and lead more effective team collaborations.

Has your journey on the course helped you learn things about yourself? If so, how?

Yes, the course has helped me realise my potential for continuous learning and adaptability. I discovered that I am more resilient than I initially thought, especially when faced with new challenges or unexpected obstacles. The experience has also taught me how to manage my time better and to approach tasks with a more structured mindset.

What were the Learning Academy team able to give you as a learner?

I greatly enjoyed the lecturers in the distance learning program. The courses were well-structured, accurate, and highly informative. They played a key role in strengthening my work capabilities and equipping me with valuable knowledge and skills to apply in my professional life.

What has the IEP Learning program given you?

The program has been really insightful, helping me piece together knowledge I didn’t know I was missing. It’s like putting together a puzzle where the pieces just fit perfectly. I now feel that my understanding is more rounded and solid. One course that really stood out to me was about working with people with mental/neurodiverse conditions. It made me realise how important it is to see individuals with ASD, for example, as highly skilled specialists, rather than simply focusing on their differences. They might not thrive in traditional classroom settings, but they have the potential to be successful business owners or experts in their field. It really shifted my perspective on what success can look like for everyone.

What would you say to someone considering enrolling in IEP Learning to encourage them to do so?

If you’re considering enrolling in IEP Learning, I’d say go for it! The course offers a wealth of knowledge and practical skills that can genuinely accelerate your professional growth. It’s a great opportunity to invest in yourself and your future, especially if you’re committed to continuous improvement and staying ahead in your career.
