Claire has been nominated, by another IEP Member, for her outstanding contributions as Training Manager at RCS, where she designs and delivers a wide range of engaging and impactful training programs focused on wellbeing and employability.
“Claire is an exceptional trainer who receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from course delegates,” the nomination read. “She engages proactively with her audience, learning what works and constantly identifying and responding to new gaps and needs. Her workshops are highly interactive, using a range of digital tools to encourage participation and engagement. She shapes and flexes training content, pitch and delivery style to suit the audience. Claire is a fluent Welsh speaker and is able to deliver training in both Welsh and English.”

- Mental Health and Wellbeing Training: Delivered two in-person and one online Mental Health Awareness sessions, a Menopause Awareness session, and a session on Having Difficult Conversations, supporting healthy workplace cultures.
- Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI): Co-developed and tested a new suite of EDI training courses with local businesses, receiving highly positive feedback.
- Mental Health First Aid: Successfully delivered the accredited Mental Health First Aid programme online to organisations across Wales, after recently qualifying to do so.
- Wellbeing Champions Programme: Delivered the popular 3-hour Wellbeing Champions course online and hosted a network meeting with 40–50 champions, fostering peer support and shared learning.
- Youth Employability Support: Delivered three in-person self-care sessions to Jobs Growth Wales+ participants, using interactive tools to build confidence and wellbeing among young jobseekers.
- Redundancy Support: Co-produced and delivered bespoke redundancy workshops, providing empathetic, practical guidance to help employees manage uncertainty and change.
Claire said she was delighted to have been recognised for MOTM May 2025.
“My role as Training Manager at RCS is never boring. No two days are ever the same. We have such a variety of clients, products, and services.
“We offer free training for small businesses across Wales through our In-Work Support Service, as well as paid-for training to support workplace wellbeing.
“We are always expanding our portfolio and now offer Youth or Adult Mental Health First Aid Licenced training, guided meditations, mental health training and much more.
“I am most proud of the fact that we can offer all our support in the Welsh language.
I’m always learning something new in this job. I learn things from the clients I meet, I learn from researching the topics and themes when I’m developing new content and I learn from my team, they teach me new things all the time.
“I am currently learning how AI can enhance what we do and save us time. It’s already helping us with efficiencies, inspiration, and sense-checking things.
“I think of myself as a storyteller. In my job I get to bring stories to life and help people learn to adapt, respond, and stay calm when they face challenging things.
“I tell stories about myself and my own experiences, I listen to stories that other people share and help them navigate those.
“There is so much to learn when we connect with other people.”
