The IEP, The Salvation Army and Walking With the Wounded are hosting a free, one-hour online event on 15th May, created specifically for charities and organisations focused on helping people move into work. This session is designed to support those on the front line of employability – whether small community groups or large national charities – by showcasing how IEP membership can help teams build skills, grow professional networks, and deliver greater impact.

At a time when the demand for person-centred, inclusive employment support is increasing, many charities are doing vital work with limited resources. This event offers an opportunity to explore how IEP membership provides affordable, practical professional development to staff and volunteers. The goal is to help them feel confident, connected, and equipped to meet the needs of the people they serve.

Attendees will hear from two leading figures in the sector: Rebecca Keating FIEP, Director of Employment Plus at The Salvation Army, and Vicky Wales BEM FIEP, Regional Operations Manager at Walking With The Wounded. They will share real-world examples of how their organisations have used IEP membership to strengthen service delivery, invest in their teams, and lead best practice in employability support.

The session will offer insight into the ways IEP supports improved outcomes, from structured learning and staff development to professional recognition and sector-wide connection. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how IEP can align with their organisation’s values, build frontline confidence, and drive meaningful change.

Charity leaders, HR teams, employability programme managers, volunteer coordinators, and funders are all encouraged to attend. This is a chance to connect with others in the sector and discover how IEP membership can help your organisation do more with what you have—and ultimately, help more people thrive in work and life.
