Here at IEP Australia, we are growing our network of industry leaders keen to promote increased support and collegiality across the employment services industry.
It is exactly this type of approach that convinced Karin Ridgeway FIEP – the Adelaide-based General Manager of Multiple Solutions Employment – to sign up as an IEP Australia Fellow.
“When I was talking to people involved in the IEP, it was great to hear that other people had a passion to make the industry what it should be, as opposed to a high turnover, ‘in between other job-type occupation’ that it often becomes,” she says.
“It is evident that the industry can be difficult and that the support for the industry, its leaders and ultimately all employees and participants is not often available.
“I see the IEP as being able to make significant change in this mindset and was keen to be part of that.”
Karin is just one experienced industry leader contributing to this shift in mentality, by supporting collaboration across providers to upskill their staff and make a career in employability more fulfilling.
IEP Australia Fellows work collaboratively to champion our sector as a career of choice while developing peer-to-peer connections across the industry, sharing and benefitting from best-practice information.
Fellows can make their mark through written contributions or guest speaker roles, we can also link you up with other Fellows, providing access to career development opportunities such as board positions.
Karin is keen to see more people become IEP Australia Fellows.
“I can only see the Australian sector getting more and more benefit in working with the IEP.”
