The IEP is bringing its acclaimed networking and learning series to the stunning North Wales coast this September, offering Employability Professionals an unmissable opportunity to connect, share insights, and drive positive change in their communities.
On Wednesday 24th September 2025, the historic St George’s Hotel in Llandudno will play host to IEP Talks Live – North Wales, proudly sponsored by Serco. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Llandudno seafront, this event promises to be both professionally enriching and visually inspiring.
Running from 1.00pm to 4.30pm, the afternoon will feature a fantastic lineup of speakers who will share their expertise and real-world experiences in tackling some of the Sector’s most pressing challenges.
Inspiring Speakers, Practical Insights
The event will showcase two compelling presentations:
Claire Lane FIEP, Head of Employer Engagement at Serco, will explore ‘Building an Inclusive Workforce: Employer Perspectives from Wales’. Her session will delve into the Welsh labour market, examining how both local and large employers are revolutionising their recruitment practices to create truly inclusive workplaces. Attendees will gain valuable insights into how employers are successfully hiring individuals with health conditions, disabilities, or long-term unemployment experiences.
Ruth Hanson FIEP, Principal Manager of Working Denbighshire at Denbighshire Council, will present ‘Support into the Heart of the Community’. This session will provide a fascinating glimpse into employability support at the local authority level, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges it presents, while demonstrating the transformative power of partnership working in delivering meaningful outcomes for communities.
An Evening of Connection and Collaboration
The learning doesn’t end there. Following the afternoon’s sessions we’ll be keeping the conversation going at the Fellows Dinner, beginning with a drinks reception at 6.00pm in the Conwy Suite at St George’s Hotel.
This relaxed evening gathering offers the perfect opportunity to deepen the conversations started during the day, forge new professional relationships, and celebrate the remarkable work happening across Wales and beyond. The dinner is open to all attendees – whether you’re already a Fellow of the IEP or aspiring to become one, you’ll find a warm welcome and engaging company.
Join Us for an Unforgettable Day
With spaces limited for both the afternoon event and the evening dinner, early booking is strongly encouraged. For employability professionals across Wales and beyond, this is an opportunity not to be missed – a chance to connect, learn, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of a sector that makes a real difference in people’s lives every day.
We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating the vibrant Employability community in Wales.
