We are proud to announce that the Institute of Employability Professionals (IEP) has signed the Get the Nation Learning Charter — a significant step in our ongoing commitment to championing lifelong learning for all.
Get the Nation Learning is a national campaign and platform that brings together organisations from across the public, private, and voluntary sectors who share a common belief: that learning should not stop when formal education ends. The campaign makes and wins the case for the importance of lifelong learning, advocating for a society in which every person – regardless of age, background, or circumstance – has a genuine opportunity to continue growing, developing, and contributing through education and skills development.
By signing the Charter, the IEP has joined a growing community of over 170 organisations, all united in their commitment to learn, share good practices, and promote the campaign’s message far and wide.
The Get the Nation Learning Charter aligns closely with the IEP’s own vision: that Employability professionals everywhere should be the very best they can be. Through our accredited learning programmes and membership network, we already work to equip professionals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to support individuals into sustainable employment and help them thrive in the workplace.
Signing the Charter reinforces that mission. It is a public commitment that the IEP will continue to advocate for a future where learning is genuinely available to all, throughout every stage of life. We firmly believe in the campaign’s central message: ‘When adults learn, our society and economy thrive.’
Adult learning is not just about personal development. When individuals gain new skills and knowledge, the benefits ripple outwards, improving employment outcomes, boosting productivity, strengthening communities, and contributing to a more resilient and adaptable economy.
