9/10/2025

We are delighted to announce that The BUSY Group has become a Global Partner of the Institute of Employability Professionals (IEP) and will also be the headline sponsor of the IEP Summit Australia 2025.

For nearly five decades, The BUSY Group has been transforming lives through employment, education, wellbeing, and skills solutions. What began as a local youth employment project in Australia has evolved into a leading not-for-profit organisation with international reach, operating from over 130 locations across Australia, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand. With more than 1,000 passionate professionals, The BUSY Group continues to strengthen communities by delivering education, skills, and employment services that positively change lives.

Their mission is simple yet powerful: more people in jobs, more people learning new skills, and more communities exposed to positive change, in partnership with individuals, employers and industry.

Scott Parkin FIEP

Scott Parkin FIEP, Group CEO, IEP said:

“We are thrilled to welcome The BUSY Group as a Global Partner of the IEP and as the headline sponsor of the IEP Summit Australia 2025.

Their long-standing commitment to transforming lives through employment, education, and skills aligns perfectly with the mission of the IEP. As we bring together leaders, innovators, and practitioners to explore the future of employability, it is fitting to have a partner whose purpose is rooted in creating opportunity, building capability, and strengthening communities across the world.”

Paul Miles

Paul Miles, Global Managing Director, The BUSY Group said:

“The BUSY Group is passionate about developing new and meaningful ways to create sustainable employment for people, particularly the most vulnerable and marginalised. The IEP is doing incredible work globally to improve training and develop better pathways for the long-term unemployed.

“With rapidly advancing technologies reforming systems and our economy, including the impacts of AI, practitioners need to keep abreast of how to support job seekers in different ways, including building resilience and change capability skills. This includes preparing job seekers for rapidly changing career landscapes impacted by technologies like AI and robotics. We also focus on the necessary human job role opportunities that are likely to grow in demand as a result.

“The BUSY Group has always lived by our purpose to lead by example and demonstrate to employers around Australia the power of having a diverse workforce, contributing different perspectives, approaches and skills.

“Developing our next generation of sector leaders requires understanding the shifting workforce, but also the broader strategies and policies needed to understand and adapt to government changes. Great culture ultimately comes from inspired leadership, not just from great performance under government contracts. Successful providers will always put their people first, developing strong and prepared future leaders to continue delivering outcomes for the communities we serve.

“We see this partnership as a great opportunity for two forward-thinking organisations to support government and industry stakeholders in improving outcomes for job seekers in Australia and New Zealand.

“We are excited to pilot new ideas with the IEP and share these learnings across government and industry.”

About the IEP Summit Australia 2025

The IEP Summit Australia brings together senior leaders, practitioners, and external experts for a day of challenge and inspiration. These external voices will bring fresh perspectives, knowledge, and solutions drawn from other industries, encouraging us to see our work differently, stretch our thinking, and tackle the priorities facing employability now and in the years ahead.

At the heart of the day, four keynote speakers will spark debate on society, the emerging labour market, and the practical challenges the sector faces — through sessions on leadership, skills, AI, and change.

This is a rare opportunity for employability professionals to engage in thought-provoking discussion, real debate, and meaningful exchange of ideas. More than just an employment services sector event, it is a space for anyone passionate about employability and building stronger communities and wider social impact.
