We are delighted to announce that Naomi Ilagoswa FIEP has joined our distinguished community of Fellows, dedicated to advancing employability practice across the UK.
Naomi brings exceptional expertise to the Fellowship, with over 17 years of experience driving inclusive employment initiatives across the North of England. As Director of Strategic Partnerships & External Projects at The Growth Company, she has demonstrated remarkable impact in the employability sector, spearheading programmes that have supported over 50,000 individuals – many from marginalised communities – into meaningful work.
Her strategic vision and lived experience fuel her commitment to breaking down barriers and creating equitable pathways to employment. Naomi has led pioneering initiatives such as EmployGM, the Employment Legal Advice Service, and United for Ukraine, forging strong partnerships with local authorities, NHS Trusts, and VCFSE organisations. Her work ensures that employment support is accessible, culturally responsive, and shaped by those with lived experience.
As a passionate advocate for equality, Naomi also influences national policy through her role as Vice-Chair of the ERSA Board and champions inclusive workplace practices as Co-chair of GC’s Parents & Carers Network.
“I’m pleased to be recognised as a Fellow of the Institute of Employability Professionals,” said Naomi. “I’ve seen first-hand the difference our sector can make, and I hope through my Fellowship I can highlight the value and impact of employability services across the UK.”
Fellows are active members of the IEP community who support others in driving the continued professionalisation of the sector and serve as ambassadors for the IEP. They benefit from special services including invitations to participate in the IEP Summit and regular Fellows Networking Dinners, creating valuable opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
