Fellows Lecture 2026

14/01/2026

The IEP Fellows Lecture has become one of the most anticipated events for IEP Fellows – a rare opportunity to step back from day-to-day pressures, share ideas, and strengthen the connections that drive our sector forward. On February 12th 2026, Fellows will gather once again at the historic RSA House in London, thanks to the continued sponsorship of Get Set UK and Fedcap.

For Thomas Harley FIEP, Group CEO of Get Set UK and an IEP Fellow himself, the value of this annual gathering is clear.

“The Fellows Lecture is one of the most important touchpoints for our sector, a space where ideas are shared, challenges are explored, and our collective ambition for the sector grows stronger,” he said.

“Get Set UK is proud to continue sponsoring this event in 2026, supporting a platform for creative thinking and an opportunity to bring our community together.”

Get Set UK has worked with the IEP for several years, drawn to the organisation’s ability to bring together professionals from across the sector and create meaningful opportunities for shared learning. Our Fellowship promotes deeper connections and builds a global network of expertise that enriches members both personally and professionally.

Get Set UK’s sponsorship reflects a commitment to an industry that exists to help people make positive, lasting changes in their lives. The IEP’s focus on driving innovation, raising quality and inspiring the next generation of leaders aligns closely with Get Set UK’s own mission.

Get Set UK describes itself as more than an employment or training provider. It’s a people service provider, dedicated to nurturing potential and helping people move towards a better tomorrow. Since Thomas Harley founded the organisation in 2009, it has supported more than 50,000 people to make positive changes through employment, skills, apprenticeships, justice, careers and health services.

What began as a small start-up has grown into a national organisation employing over 250 people. Thomas himself started his career in employment services in New Zealand, working across both public and private sectors before moving to the UK at 23 with a belief in opportunity, resilience and the power of meaningful support.

Get Set UK operates on the principle that everyone should have the opportunity to fulfil their potential, whatever their circumstances. The organisation works closely with employers of all sizes to connect them with talented, motivated people, whilst providing individuals with the guidance, training and support they need to find rewarding work.

An Inspiring Speaker in a Remarkable Setting

This year’s guest lecturer is Dr Kenny Imafidon MBE, an entrepreneur, author and social commentator with an impressive track record of impact. As co-founder and Managing Director of Clearview Research, he specialises in research, strategy and engagement projects focused on diverse and underrepresented communities. His work earned him a place on Forbes’ annual 30 under 30 list for Social Impact in 2022.

Dr Imafidon’s commitment to social change extends beyond his professional work. He serves as a trustee of BBC Children in Need and sits on the advisory boards of several charities, including the Late HM Queen Elizabeth II’s Queens Commonwealth Trust. He is also co-founder of My Brothers Keeper, a voluntary group supporting men across six UK prisons, alongside 2023 Lecturer Lord Michael Hastings CBE.

The setting matches the calibre of speaker. RSA House, located within strolling distance of Trafalgar Square, is one of London’s hidden architectural treasures. Designed and built by the Adams brothers in the 1750s, the Benjamin Franklin Room features allegorical paintings by James Barry in the Great Room and vast subterranean vaults that once led to the Thames.

A Day for Fellowship and Future Planning

Alongside Dr Imafidon’s inspiring lecture, the IEP will host a ‘Looking Ahead’ session, setting out plans to work more closely with Fellows in 2026. Attendees will find out about opportunities to get involved in new initiatives, events and activities, and explore ways to showcase their professional credentials as part of the growing global Fellowship community.

Thanks to generous sponsorship from Fedcap and Get Set UK, the event is free for Fellows to attend, with an evening drinks reception sponsored by Palladium.

Places are limited, and Fellows are encouraged to confirm their attendance soon to avoid missing out on this special opportunity to connect, reflect and help shape the IEP’s plans for the year ahead.
