IEP Basecamp 2025 once again brought the sector together for a day of ideas, energy and shared purpose. Our headline sponsors, Ingeus, played a central role, with CEO Employment Services Julie Graham FIEP reflecting on how energising it was to spend the day alongside so many committed practitioners. In her recent blog she highlighted the importance of listening, making new connections, and taking learning back into everyday practice — a message that resonated with many delegates.

Those conversations across the day centred around four key themes:
international insight, employer engagement, supporting complex needs, and coaching.

These themes weren’t just session titles — they represented the real challenges, questions and opportunities that practitioners told us they are grappling with in their day-to-day work.

Keeping that momentum going

Rather than Basecamp being a single moment in the year, we want to keep the thinking and inspiration alive. Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing a selection of resources linked to these four themes — including podcasts, CfEE seminars, Journal posts, IEP Talks Online and new learning opportunities — all designed to help practitioners rise above some of the everyday challenges they face in their practice.

These resources will be made available for all Basecamp attendees and IEP Members in the IEP Members Area. We’ll signpost new additions in future newsletters so you can easily find and explore the topics most relevant to your work.

Why we’re doing this

Basecamp works because it brings people together, encourages honest conversations, and sparks new thinking. But the real value comes afterwards — when those ideas are put into practice.

By sharing ongoing resources linked to the themes of the day, we hope to:

Look out for the first set of resources in the Members Area soon — and thank you again to Julie and our headline sponsors Ingeus for helping make Basecamp such a powerful catalyst for shared learning.
