Developing professional qualifications
for professional people -
IEP offers independent advice and support for members.

The IEP is independent of any awarding body and so can provide independent advice and support. We work with leading sector employers to set the standard for professional industry-recognised, accredited and endorsed qualifications to improve the employability and career progression of members.

Gaining specialist and professional qualifications can have a major impact on an individual’s career. They demonstrate the level of skill and expertise someone has achieved, and prove their commitment to raising their own level of performance. They can help you to stand out from the competition, give you an edge when applying for a new job or promotion, improve your earning potential, help you gain peer recognition.

Since its launch in May 2011, over 1,200 candidates have started to work towards a Level 3 or 4 qualification in Employment Related Services (ERS) through leading awarding bodies. This is a great start for those working in the employability sector to gain professional recognition, but it’s only the first step in an exciting and ambitious journey.

The qualifications are designed to raise performance by helping practitioners enhance their skills, knowledge and competency. So whether you are seeking to find your first role in the sector, are a new entrant or a seasoned practitioner, our qualifications and endorsed specialist can help you build your future. IEP recommended qualifications are also recognised by government and quality assurance agencies. Therefore they can help you and your employer when bidding.
