FIEP - James Chessum
  Fellow - Influencing the sector

James Chessum FIEP

James Chessum is the founder of Red 5 People.  A recruitment agency for employability and skills providers set up nearly 7 years ago.  He first started recruiting into the sector nearly 10 years ago on FND and later Work Programme helping providers to build large teams at scale upon contract wins.

James has placed over 1000 candidates into work within the sector from senior level to delivery staff.  James is really passionate about attracting people to the employability support sector from alternative industries.  He is an active member of the community, with his company hosting key ERSA and IEP networking events.  And acts as a sounding board to employability professionals in the next step of their careers.

His company has provided redundancy support for large providers where contracts have wound down and has acted as a mentor to students at City University to provide them careers advice and guidance.

As well as running a business, James is a keen runner, and mediocre cook.
