FIEP - Justin Brett
  Fellow - Influencing the sector

Justin Brett FIEP

Justin Brett is a Social Value Delivery Officer at Clarion Housing Group, focused on their Love London Working European Social Fund programme which will progress 6,300 people into work over three years. He previously worked as a front line advice worker and team manager for Circle Housing (Now Clarion) based in Tower Hamlets for Circle Housing Old Ford.

Justin also works in a voluntary capacity for Transitions London, a niche social enterprise which supports qualified refugees into employment. He is chair of his local Tenants and Residents’ Association at the London Borough of Hackney and in 2013 was elected Vice President of the Career Development Institute.

Since starting in the sector in 2003 Justin has directly helped over 800 people into employment and countless others into accredited training. He has also helped clients secure tens of thousands of pounds of financial support. Justin has mentored, supervised and managed six staff members to become fully qualified advisers, managing their own clients and caseloads.

At Clarion Housing Group (formed from the merger of Circle Housing and Affinity Sutton) Justin was a founding member of the Health and Wellbeing Staff Networking Group and is one of the organisation’s diversity champions. Coming from a minority ethnic background and having a range of disabilities, Justin is particularly passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion and supporting the most disadvantaged in society to overcome barriers whether employment, financial, personal or health related.

He is also an enthusiastic supporter of Tottenham Hotspur FC and a decent baker and cook.
