Book now for the Digital Technology Conference

‘Employability in a Digital World’

16th & 17th September 2020

IEP are excited to announce the details of our forthcoming Digital Technology Conference. An online event, taking place via Zoom, the Conference entitled ‘Employability in a Digital World’ is FREE for IEP Members and Corporate Affiliate Partners and sponsored by our partners CogniSoft, a leading provider of web-based software solutions for government funded training, skills and employment service providers across England, Scotland and Wales.

CogniSoft has worked alongside the employability sector since 2000 and have an in-depth understanding of the issues providers face in delivering employability programmes. The experience and knowledge they will be bringing to the conference in relation to technological advances available to our sector will be a key component of the conference content and we are delighted that they are supporting our event as Headline Sponsors.

The conference offers an ideal opportunity for practitioners and employers to come together in a space to not just learn but to network too.  It will identify skills gaps in using software and bridge the gap by offering advice and opportunities to learn.  It will provide practical solutions to help you serve participants as effectively as possible through improved knowledge on subjects including how to access learning via digital technology, challenges that participants will face and how to support them digitally. Crucially, it will provide insights into how to use software to do your job differently, how to interact with people when you must do it virtually and how to improve your engagement with people in a virtual environment.

We have four confirmed speakers:

  • Dr Kylie Henderson FIEP, Founder and Managing Director, The Better Health Generation who will be addressing the subject of Health delivery in the digital space.
  • Jo Cook MIEP from Lightbulb Moment who will speak on Multiple facets of Online learning for customers.
  • Andy Durman FIEP, Managing Director of Emsi UK who will discuss Labour market information in the round and how this is being used as a skills analysis for advisers.
  • Pam Donnelly MIEP, Virtual Training Expert from The Leadership Factory who will be talking about Employability Training and Coaching in a virtual environment for advisers.

Steve Thorpe MIEP, Head of Sales and Marketing at CogniSoft said “The best employability programmes are the ones where practitioners stay with participants through thick and thin, supporting them throughout their journey into employment. We are keen to highlight how technology can play a role in enabling practitioners to continue to do that in the world we now see ourselves in. Technology has an important role to play and is there to help practitioners do their job better.  We are looking forward to exploring different options that are out there to help our sector at this time and support practitioners in the crucial job they do”.

Taking place over two days on the 16th and 17th September the Conference duration is 3.5 hours each day and will include a series of seminars and themed networking workshops. There will be breaks and opportunities for informal discussion amongst attendees and sessions will include Q and A’s with speakers and their guests.

Watch out for announcements on further speakers and workshops with more detail on the agenda and timings over the next few weeks. In the meantime be sure to hold 16th and 17th September in your diary and book your FREE ticket here
