IEP Welcome Five New Directors to the IEP Board

The IEP are delighted to announce the results of the Board election and welcome 5 new directors to the IEP Board, all of whom bring considerable strengths, commitment and passion and a drive and determination to enhance the benefits of the IEP to its members and to the employability profession as a whole.

 

Greg Bate MIEP - With over 10 years sector experience, and prior to that 7 years of recruitment experience, Greg brings a wealth of employability skills and knowledge to the IEP Board. Having worked his way up through Seetec, he has carried out most jobs within the employability sector and is therefore able to relate to many different roles and responsibilities and to see things from lots of different perspectives.  He will be able to provide well rounded and balanced advice and guidance on all types of employability queries. His current role at Seetec is to develop partnerships across the North West so is able to provide the IEP with additional exposure across Greater Manchester and the North West providing a range of different opportunities to the Board. 

Gemma Bramley MIEP -    Gemma is Business Improvement Manager at Education Development Trust and responsible for overseeing CPD, training, marketing, communication, PR and social media activity. She has extensive experience of post-16 education and work-based learning programmes, supporting learners and organisations in a delivery and managerial capacity to achieve sustainable employment opportunities. Gemma is passionate about creating opportunities for people to achieve their full potential and believe good career information, advice and guidance should be at the heart of education, training and employability programmes.  

Laura Busfield MIEP – Laura is Renaisi's Service Director and is responsible for the strategic direction of their services including design and development, implementation, delivery and performance of their programmes.   Having held a number of different roles in the employability sector over the last 10 years, she is very much aware of the impact that the changes to the sector in recent years has had on front line delivery teams.   Laura brings a genuine desire to see individuals overcome barriers to progression and is passionate about making sure that organisations and front-line teams within organisations have the right tools, knowledge and opportunities to succeed.

Una Davis MIEP -  Una is Senior Business Manager at Papworth Trust and has worked in the Employability sector for 24 years managing many and various DWP contracts over this period mostly across the East of England.  As a ‘hands-on’ Manager she is aware of the challenges facing front line staff. Having worked in the employability sector in both the private and Charity sector, she has an extensive understanding of the skills and experience needed to achieve the best possible outcomes for the customers we deliver to and the understanding of both the personal and professional qualities that we need to deliver the best outcomes.

Jon Smith FIEP - Jon has worked in the employment related services sector for over 13 years, firstly holding a number of front-line roles including adviser, recruitment officer, key worker, tutor and training officer. Over the last decade he has held senior management positions in three organisations, both private and third sector, leading large teams to deliver over 50 different contracts across the welfare to work, education and skills and justice sectors. Jon is passionate about helping others and delivering social impact and is proficient at leading organisational change, whilst building relationships with key stakeholders.
