Belina helps people get back to work. They specialise in people furthest from the labour market and in particular lone parents and women using Behavioural Insight to make a difference.

Belina runs intensive confidence-building, motivation and employability sessions for parents including Get REady for Work GRoW, Take three days, Get Confident to Work and Parent’s Job Clubs.  They run regular CV workshops in London to help people understand their purpose and how to develop their CV and also train advisers.

Belina’s team is made up of experienced field-based advisers.  They deliver on the Work Programme and the Families Programme and work with Children’s Centres and local authorities to improve services for parents.  They work with organisations like EOS, Remploy, Workplace, and Masbro Urban Partnership.

Belina has long term on-going partnerships with a number of children’s centres across London including Altmore in Newham, Clyde in Lewisham, Masbro in Hammersmith and Fulham, South Isleworth in Hounslow and Uxbridge College. They work with the parents and support the staff with training.

  • Lone Parent Adviser Training

  • Understanding and Managing Challenging Behaviour
    People on employability programmes can sometimes be angry, frustrated or depressed. This can make it difficult for staff and uncomfortable for other people. Learn how to recognise signals; improve relationships and manage sessions,  We also cover keeping safe and developing more engaging training programmes.
  • Effective Employer Engagement Workshop
    This module is about engaging employers and brokering employment opportunities for services users. The move towards payment by results, which incentivises providers to connect unemployed people with the labour market means that effective engagement of employers is central to achieving job outcomes. The half day workshop is interactive and practical, focusing on developing the tools, practice and confidence employability staff require to identify opportunities, build professional employer relationships, overcome barriers and promote customers.

    Belina has pioneered successful group employability programmes for those furthest from the labour market, with high retention rates and the ability to move people towards work. On this two day programme you will to learn how to:

    • Organise motivational training programmes.
    • Structure sessions to encourage participation.
    • Prepare and deliver a range of training techniques
    • Practice presentation skills.
    • Understand different learning styles and consider current approaches including, Nudge theory, Fast and Slow thinking.
