Available now in Australia, our Award in Mental Health is free to all IEP members for a limited time!
The course is delivered by IEP in conjunction with mental health expert and IEP Fellow Kevin Moore FIEP and utilises the best Australian research on mental health and employability.
It’s a great way to help your team deliver better services that are more responsive to people who are struggling with their mental health.
Mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders and PTSD can be a significant barrier to employment.
A mixture of practitioner coaching and support, plus specialist referrals is often required to help people develop techniques and strategies to face and overcome their personal obstacles.

Mental health barriers can look like:
- Lack of engagement and not attending appointments – not being able to leave the house (agoraphobia)
- Lack of commitment and not attending interviews – perceived fear and overwhelm (anxiety)
- Malaise and disinterest in conversation or tasks – intrusive thoughts and no sense of purpose (depression)
