
The IEP is delighted to announce the launch of new professional sector-relevant qualifications and two innovative Elevation Plus masterclasses designed to empower employability professionals with cutting-edge knowledge and practical tools to make a real impact in their roles.
New Professional Qualifications
Starting this February, the IEP Learning Academy is introducing several new Awards to help professionals at all levels enhance their skills and drive better outcomes for their participants:
- Award in Motivational Interviewing
Award in Motivational Interviewing: Learn how to build trust through boosting participants’ intrinsic motivation, address ambivalence and resistance, increase change talk, encourage stepping out of a comfort zone and support them in overcoming barriers through empathy-driven techniques
- Award in Coaching for Progress (Managers)
Equip managers with the skills to decide when to teach, coach, or mentor, enabling them to foster team growth and deliver impactful coaching conversations aligned with organizational goals. - Award in Coaching for Growth (Frontline Practitioners)
Develop the coaching techniques needed to empower participants, build trust, and guide them effectively toward their employment goals. - Award in Employability for IPS Integration
Adapt your existing skills to deliver IPS-aligned services, focusing on key areas like fidelity, clinical integration, caseload management, and employer engagement.
These qualifications are offered in flexible formats (Bronze, Silver, and Gold) to suit your learning needs.
Introducing Elevation Plus Masterclasses
We’re also launching two specialist masterclasses to address emerging needs in the employability sector:
- An Introduction to Trauma Informed Practice (TIP)
Define Trauma Informed Practice and understand the importance of identifying trauma in individuals, particularly those who are long-term unemployed with multiple and complex barriers to work. Discuss some of the practical strategies of TIP in employment support settings to create a safe and supportive environment for program participants.
- An Introduction to Individual Placement and Support (IPS)
Define Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and its core principles. Explain the benefits of IPS for individuals with multiple and complex barriers to employment. Recognise and discuss the differences between IPS and traditional employment support models.
