Neurodiversity Celebration Week (17-23 March) is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences. The awareness week was founded in 2018 by Siena Castellon, who is autistic and has ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia, “to change the narrative and create a balanced view which focuses equally on our talents and strengths”. It provides an opportunity for schools, universities, organisations, and others to recognise the skills and talents of neurodivergent individuals, while creating more inclusive and equitable cultures that celebrate differences and empower every person.

The IEP offers the Understanding Neurodiversity (UN) program, developed in association with Genius Within CIC and free to all members currently enrolled in our IEP Accredited Employability Essentials. It’s the perfect step for anyone eager to support neurodivergent people and help them reach their full potential.

“Being aware of different neurodiverse conditions and how to support individuals with neurodiverse conditions is important in any workplace. I believe everybody should have a basic knowledge and understanding to help us grow as a society and to improve workplace culture, inclusion, and diversity. This course explains how neurodiversity in the workplace is beneficial in many different ways. I will definitely be applying what I have learned from this course to my attitude and behaviours in all aspects of life.” – Kayleigh Martin AIEP | Compliance Officer | PeoplePlus
