The IEP Australia board has been established to help guide our organisation’s development and growth, and another employability industry leader joining the group is Cath Scarth FIEP.
Cath is the Chief Executive Officer of AMES Australia, an organisation providing a wide range of interconnected services with partners in settlement, education, vocational training and employment in Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales, Tasmania and Northern Territory.
She brings a wealth of experience from innovative social programs and enterprises in Australia and the UK to our board.
“It is an honour to be asked to serve on the Australian IEP Board,” Cath says.
“The professional development and support of employability specialists in Australia is critical.
“The work to support career pathways for the most vulnerable is complex and having a group like the IEP focused on how we support those involved in them can make a positive impact on the lives of so many.
“Having spent almost 40 years involved in economic empowerment here and in the UK, I know the importance of a professional body focused on understanding, designing and implementing programs to build the capacity and capability of employability professionals to make a difference.
“What I love is that the IEP is also focused on improving the systems and policies that we work in to ensure that employability professionals can have the best environment to deliver their services.”
We are thrilled to have Cath on our board, which is led by Andrew Hills FIEP.
The IEP Australia Board has been established to guide and oversee the Institute’s activities and initiatives. This includes setting priorities and shaping the strategic framework for the IEP’s activities in Australia, fostering partnerships and exploring new approaches, and ensuring high standards of governance and accountability.
