Our AI Working Group is getting ready for the IEP Summit 2025, where AI is set to be one of the hottest topics of the day. With AI Working Group members Liz Sewell FIEP and Claudine Adeyemi-Adams FIEP – both chairing sessions at the Summit – the Group is focused on gathering real-world examples of how AI is already being used in the employability sector and sharing those insights with the wider community.
We want to know: How are you using AI in your work?

Spotlight on Innovation: Ask Nim at RBK
One great example comes from Cameron King at the Royal Borough of Kingston (RBK), who shared how they’ve implemented Ask Nim – a digital assistant built in partnership with Stay Nimble and Accenture UK & Ireland.
“Ask Nim is available 24/7 and supports conversations in any language, ensuring residents from all backgrounds can easily find local services and guidance. It’s been designed to add value to existing support services, not replace them, and it’s trained with expert content provided by CDI-registered Stay Nimble practitioners.”
Since launching, Ask Nim has already supported over 430 residents – and this was just the starting point. Usage continues to grow, particularly after RBK’s first partner webinar in April. The tool enhances the support provided by Kingston Employment & Skills Partners and other community groups and charities.
Key Features of Ask Nim for RBK:
- Language Support: Residents can communicate in their preferred language with translated search prompts for better understanding.
- Targeted Resources: Provides tailored information from dedicated local skills and employment data sources and Stay Nimble content written by qualified CDI registered practitioners.
- Support for Practitioners: Complements the work of welfare-to-work practitioners, advisers, and work coaches.
Real Impact on the Ground:
One local employability partner said:
“In recent outreach sessions with residents I’ve started promoting Ask Nim to jobseekers. One resident who received a device found it fantastic – he used it to build an action plan for local opportunities and was really interested in using it to rewrite his CV and cover letters.”

Further examples from the Group:
– The Skills Builder Partnerships: Essential Skills Tracker, Driving social mobility and growth through AI transition – we also partner with Skills Builder across a range of programmes.
– Movement to Work & Microsoft – Gen AI for Youth Frontline Workers – Dom and Stay Nimble have a version of Ask Nim built into the MTW Learning Hub as well.
We’re building a picture of how AI is being applied in real services – and your insight is vital.
