  • Progress through our membership levels: Associate, Member, and Member Ambassador. With sustained engagement, you can achieve Fellowship status, reflecting your dedication and expertise.

Year One: Laying the Foundation (Associate) – First 6 months

Empower individuals to perform to a professional standard through gaining relevant further knowledge and understanding, building their skills and acting in accordance with the IEP’s stated values.

Steps

· Gain immediate access to face-to-face or online events, webinars, and forums designed to support your Continuous Professional Development in the employability profession.

· Begin your journey with our Employability Essentials e-learning courses, featuring 20 modules to support employability practitioners with specialised content like understanding neurodiversity, caseload management, handling conflict etc and our Over 50’s support which features a further 4 modules providing you with the knowledge and tools to equip you to support participants over the age of 50. Upon completion, receive certificates and digital badges to showcase your qualifications as an employability practitioner.

· After completion of Employability Essentials qualification you will be added to the Register of Professional Practitioners and be recognised as part of our wider IEP Community with a place on our website.

· Stay informed and connected through our IEP Journals and Employability Professionals Newsletters, offering insights and updates on industry trends.

Building Expertise: Year Two and Beyond (Member) 7 months – 2 years

Champion employability as a recognised profession through representation of our people’s social and economic contribution and achievements to policy
makers and influencers.

Steps

· Access advanced training programmes, tailored to your interests and career goals. Whether self-funded or sponsored by your organisation, these programmes enhance your skills and support your career progression.

· Enrol in masterclasses led by industry experts, deepening your knowledge and addressing specific challenges in the field.

· Continue your professional development through participation in events and IEP-accredited programmes, designed to ensure that key skills are effectively transferred from the learning environment to the workplace.

Becoming a Leader: Advanced Membership and Recognition (Member Ambassador) 2 years – 7 years, depending on previous industry experience

Secure employers’ recognition that their employability objectives are best achieved through a commitment to the development, through selection and training, of a highly skilled professional delivery team.

Steps

· Share your insights and experiences by becoming a speaker at our events or contributing to our webinars and forums such as our LiveLearnLunches.

· Showcase your work or organisation through exhibiting and sponsorship opportunities at IEP events such as our Summit and Basecamps.

· Gain recognition for your efforts by being nominated for industry awards, further establishing your credibility and influence.

· Receive mentorship from our Fellows to guide your career development.
