We are thrilled to provide details about our upcoming LiveLearnLAUNCH event of IEP Journal Issue #12 on 22nd October 2024. This special event will showcase presentations from this edition’s authors and guest speakers.
Our host will be David Imber FIEP, Head of the Centre for Employability Excellence and Principal of The Good Employability Company, who will be joined by Michaela Zankl FIEP, Regional Manager at Folkuniversitetet Sweden and Guest Editor for this edition.
Michaela, an expert in adult education and employment services, shares that her ambition for this edition is to focus on the challenges and solutions discovered through research, focusing on Northern Europe. As a representative of Folkuniversitetet, a unique non-profit organisation in Sweden’s employment sector, Michaela offers perspectives grounded in both research and practical experience. Her leadership roles in contracting, procurement, and digitalisation, combined with her environmental monitoring of labour market trends, ensure that her contributions will be invaluable.
We are delighted to be joined by two journal contributors who will present insights into their articles:
- Eric Donell, Vice Chairman of the Swedish NDD Association “Attention,” specialist nurse in psychiatric care, and lecturer in neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD), will discuss his article titled: “Can businesses thrive without people with ADHD or Autism?” Eric explores the critical role that individuals with ADHD or Autism play in today’s workforce and how businesses can benefit from their unique skills and perspectives.
- Adnan Habibija, Economist and Policy Analyst at the Swedish Trade Union Confederation (LO), will share insights from his article, “Wage subsidies – a pathway to integration or segmentation?” Adnan’s analysis of wage subsidies sheds light on their complex role in labour market integration. Adnan is also set to join the Trade Union Advisory Committee to the OECD in November as an Economic Policy Advisor, further extending his influence in labour policy.
The IEP Journal is an essential resource for employability professionals, offering a platform for the latest research, current policies, and best practices from around the world. This edition promises to provoke thoughtful discussions about what works in the employability sector and to share valuable insights into good practice around the globe.
