The Institute of Employability Professionals (IEP) is thrilled to announce that Mission Australia has joined as a Corporate Affiliate Partner. The national Christian charity has been standing alongside Australians in need since 1859. They combat homelessness, provide housing, assist struggling families and children, address mental health issues, fight substance dependencies, support people with disability and much more. Mission Australia stands with Australians in need until they can stand for themselves.

Lily Jin (JP), National Manager – Performance & Compliance of Mission Australia’s Employment Services Program, said:

“Mission Australia is a leading national charity that has been helping vulnerable Australians move towards independence for over 160 years. We provide services to address homelessness, assist disadvantaged families and children, support people recovering from mental illness, and help individuals with disability access employment. Our organisation is committed to empowering Australians in need, focusing on creating long-term, sustainable change by addressing the underlying causes of disadvantage.

“Our mission is to ensure that individuals, families, and communities can thrive. Through various programs, we deliver a range of essential services aimed at building stronger, more resilient communities. This includes supporting individuals on their journey to finding and maintaining employment, as we believe meaningful work is a vital step towards independence and social inclusion. Our employment services, including Disability Employment Services (DES), Transition to Work (TtW), and Parent Pathways programs, are central to our approach, helping individuals overcome barriers to employment through tailored support.

“Choosing to collaborate with the IEP aligns with our commitment to delivering high-quality, effective services that respond to the needs of the people we support. The IEP is an international leader in employability skills development, with a reputation for setting the benchmark in employability practices. Their expertise provides a valuable resource that complements our existing programs, allowing us to enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff while ensuring that participants receive the highest standard of service.

“The IEP partnership gives us access to a range of accredited training programs, including the Employability Essentials modules. These resources cover crucial aspects of the employability sector, from understanding participant journeys to managing caseloads effectively and supporting diverse groups such as people with disabilities and Indigenous communities. By equipping our staff with these competencies, we can deliver a more consistent, high-quality experience to those accessing our services, ensuring better outcomes for participants.

“In addition, IEP’s global network and evidence-based practice brings innovative approaches to our work, helping us stay ahead of industry trends and standards. Their comprehensive training modules enable staff to refresh their knowledge and develop new skills at their own pace, ensuring that our team remains adaptable and well-prepared to meet the evolving needs of participants.

“Our decision to partner with IEP was driven by a shared commitment to empowering people and improving lives. This collaboration enhances our ability to provide support that is not only compassionate but also informed by the latest best practice in employability. As we continue to address barriers to employment, the skills and resources gained through this partnership will strengthen our efforts to create long-term positive change in the lives of those we assist.”
